Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program (for USA citizens) 2026-2027
Who can apply: U.S. academics, artists, and professionals having a PhD or equivalent
Awards are for: teaching, conducting research, and/or carrying out a professional or artistic project in Romania

Fields: Fulbright Romania welcomes proposals in all disciplines
Award length: Four or nine months. Under certain circumstances, the Fulbright Commission may consider three months (minimum).
Host institutions: scholars may choose any appropriate higher education institution in Romania. Affiliations with NGOs and otherwise not strictly academic institutions are also allowed. A letter of invitation is preferred.
