  • English level: minimum B1

Contents:

The BIP program it aims to offer students a comprehensive and interdisciplinary learning experience at the intersection of robotics, intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, and advanced digital technologies.
It aims to build foundational knowledge in robotics engineering, to explore applications of human–robot collaboration in modern manufacturing environment, experiment with AI algorithms and to examine how smart materials contribute to actuation, sensing, energy management, and structural adaptability.
It will also help the students to gain an experience to work in international and interdisciplinary teams, to discuss about engineering challenges and to develop communication, critical thinking, and project management skills through collaborative tasks.

The program combines diverse teaching methods—expert-led lectures, interactive workshops, simulation-based exercises, group project work, and industry visits—to ensure a balance between theory and application. These methods are designed to strengthen students’ technical competencies, problem‑solving abilities, communication skills, and teamwork. As a key outcome, participants develop and present a group robotics project synthesizing insights gained throughout the week.

Application:

  • Students from the co-organising universities (see list above) are selected and nominated by their home institution to incoming@upt.ro.
  • After nomination, the students will submit their pre-mobility documents to incoming@upt.ro before July 15th, 2026.

Selected students:

  • OLA (Online Learning Agreement) should be submitted to Assoc. prof. Dr. eng. Cosmina VIGARU, cosmina.vigaru@upt.ro
  • ISCED code for OLA: 0788 – Inter-disciplinary programmes and qualifications involving engineering, manufacturing and construction
